Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd and Nantou County Government jointly support Tzu Chi's "One day a week of vegetarian eating" initiative.
In response to Tzu Chi's "One day a week of vegetarian eating" initiative, on November 20th (Wednesday), Nantou County Mayor Xu Shuhua, along with county government staff, had a vegetarian lunch. Employees from Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd also joined the plant-based movement, with volunteers from the Tzu Chi Foundation Nantou and Caotun offices responsible for the meal preparation.
In the first week of the "Meatless" initiative, Mayor Xu Shuhua invited Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd's CEO, Li Yaoming, and Tzu Chi Foundation volunteers to share a vegetarian lunch, with the hope of promoting plant-based eating for environmental sustainability and expressing care for the Earth.
Around 60 of our employees joined the meaningful event at the company cafeteria for lunch. Adopting a vegetarian diet is a low-carbon way of eating, and one of the most direct methods to reduce carbon emissions. A simple plant-based meal is filled with limitless love, and it also echoes CEO Li Yaoming's mantra of "Good things, let's do them together," reflecting the company's commitment and determination. Kung Long Batteries Industrial Co., Ltd continues to fulfill its corporate social responsibility, showcasing the value of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and contributing to a society of inclusion, mutual benefit, and prosperity.
