KLB Human Rights Policy
The KLB Human Rights Policy specifies the code of actions and conducts relating to human rights. Rolling improvement will be made for this policy and the code of practice as time goes by. At the same time, we will better understand and improve human rights protection. To support this policy, we will establish management procedures to build an environment where human rights are respected and help ensuring we will not engage, either directly or in directly, in human rights abuses. - Employees
We are committed to respecting employee human rights. We develop the employment policy based on the related contents in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to provide a universal standard on human rights. We are also committed to providing employees with training to enable them to realize, respect, and protect the human rights in workplaces and in local communities under the direct influence of our business activities.
- Business partners
When contacting contractors, suppliers, customers, joint ventures, and other business partners, we will request them to respect human rights and protect human rights protection. We will proactively participate in, supervise, and establish contract terms to achieve this goal through appropriate methods.
- Local communities
We endeavor to respect human rights and start inclusive and open dialogues with those who are affected by our business activities in order to understand more and better about the local prevailing cultures, customs, and values. We start open and inclusive dialogues with local community groups, including minority groups, such as women and indigenous people.
- Health and safety
We are committed to build a zero accident, zero injury, and healthy workplace. This is confirmed by this health and safety policy and procedure, which will inspire us to develop the concept of safe and sustainable products.
- Freedom of association
We maintain the freedom of association and recognize the effectiveness of collective bargaining. We will also promote the realization of this principle with contractors and suppliers.
- Elimination of forced or compulsory labor
We strongly disagree with forced or compulsory labor. We will also avoid indirect benefits or promote such illegal activities with contractors and suppliers.
- Banning child labor
We strongly disagree with child labor. We will eliminate child labor in any form with methods consistent with the biggest benefits of children in collaboration with contractors and suppliers.
- Non-discrimination in workplaces
We are committed to ensuring that all employees and potential employees are treated with dignity and respect. Therefore, discrimination based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, ethnicity, national or social origin, financial status, political or other opinion, disability, birth or other status shall be intolerable. We endeavor to provide each employee with equal opportunities and non-discrimination in promotion.
- No harassment and violence
We are committed to promote a work environment free from harassments, exploitations, abuses, or violence of any kind and in any form as defined in the local laws and regulations of our branches.
- Competitive compensations and remunerations
We offer competitive remunerations or at least equivalent compensations for every employee after assessment the local markets.
- Maintaining employment conditions

We endeavor to provide safety measures in operations that comply with related national laws and related international standards and guidelines, such as the Voluntary Principles on Security & Human Rights. We will maintain a balance between our security measures and respect for human rights and security.

In addition to showing respect for human rights and supporting environmental protection, we endeavor to understand and apply methods for the healthy use of land and water resources in consistent with the emerging international practices.
